Dear readers, the new, 138th issue of the magazine "Inicijativa" has been published. Read articles about legal regulations concerning persons with disabilities, as well as the daily struggle that young people with disabilities go through in the education system. We bring you inspiring views on life with a disability from the girl Zijada Nakičević, and also the president of the Amputee Organization UDAS of the Republic of Srpska based in Banja Luka Željko Volaš shared with us his experience in twenty years of advocacy for a mine-free BiH and a society of equal opportunities. We also remembered important dates for persons with disabilities, as well as numerous activities of organizations of persons with disabilities that, through their example and hard work, daily influence positive changes and the position of persons with disabilities. We also pay attention to the issues of violence and discrimination against women with disabilities. We also emphasize the need to correctly perceive persons with disabilities as ordinary, dignified people without attributing heroism or tragedy. We also write about the importance of developing empathy for others and differences in children from early childhood.
