From June 27 to 29, 2025, a joint conference of coalitions of organizations of persons with disabilities from the MyRight program in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held at the Forrest Hotel in Međugorje. A total of 50 participants attended the conference, including leaders of organizations, youth, and women with disabilities from four coalitions operating in the Sarajevo, Herzegovina-Neretva, Tuzla Canton, and Doboj region.
During the three-day event, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, analyze the results of the coalitions' work so far, and jointly plan future activities aimed at improving the position of persons with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The objectives of the conference were:
analyze the previous work of the coalitions and prepare a statement on future joint action,
exchange knowledge and experiences on the application of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the local level,
strengthen mutual cooperation and agree on ways to implement advocacy activities in the upcoming period,
promote more active involvement of young people and women with disabilities in the work of organizations and community life.
The conference concluded with the signing. agreement on mutual cooperation, which further confirmed the readiness of all participants to continue joint action and efforts for better rights and living conditions for persons with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
