On April 3, 2024, in the premises of the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla, as part of the program of work with women with disabilities, a meeting of the Forum of Women with Disabilities of Tuzla, as well as a peer support meeting, was held. The meetings were attended by 11 participants, who discussed the need to respect their own dignity by not accepting treatment by society as less valuable and those who need help, which builds a wrong model of mercy. perceptions of disability. Positive examples and successes of girls with disabilities who were employed in the previous period and, as they say, experienced exceptional applications in everyday life, were presented. It was concluded that no human being should agree to discrimination, including positive discrimination, and that problems and challenges are an integral part of life. It was also emphasized that we must work on developing awareness of personal abilities and search for adequate solutions, with the aim of achieving equal opportunities and equal participation in the community for women with disabilities.
