The Civil Service Agency of the Federation of BiH, in cooperation with the Coordination Team for Monitoring the Implementation of the Action Plan for the Prevention and Combating of Domestic Violence in the Tuzla Canton, organized a one-day professional development program on the topic: "Implementation of Regulations in the Field of Domestic Violence and Violence against Women - Support for the Implementation of Domestic and International Documents" in the "Dramar" Shopping Center in Tuzla on January 30, 2025. The goal of the program is to improve cooperation and more efficient measures for the prevention and protection of violence at the local level through strengthening multisectoral cooperation and establishing multidisciplinary teams. The participants of the training worked on improving the recognition of domestic violence as a form of discrimination and a social problem, understanding the international and domestic legal framework related to violence, and strengthening intersectoral action through legally prescribed bodies and programs. Through this program, the participants improved their understanding of the importance of cooperation between various actors in the protection of victims of violence, as well as the ways in which violence is recognized, prevented, and sanctioned in accordance with applicable legislation. Those present agreed that domestic violence is not only a criminal offense, but also a serious form of discrimination and violation of human rights. Education, prevention, legal protection and coordination are key to the protection of all citizens, especially women, persons with disabilities and children. This program is implemented within the framework of the Action Plan for the Prevention and Combating of Domestic Violence in the Tuzla Canton for 2024-2025.
