On January 10, 2025, students of the Tuzla Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation with Professor Lejla Burgić visited the Information Center for People with Disabilities "Lotos", where they had the opportunity to learn about our work and the challenges faced by people with disabilities on a daily basis. This visit enabled the future experts to gain an insight into the real situation, and to become better acquainted with the rights, needs and possibilities of persons with disabilities.

One of the key goals of this visit was to refresh and deepen the understanding of the phenomenon of disability, and to emphasize the importance of a correct approach in accordance with human rights. Students had the opportunity to see that disability is a social phenomenon, and that access to persons with disabilities must be based on the principles of respect for dignity, equality and equal rights.

During the visit, the students spoke with our members, and the exchange of experiences was useful and inspiring for all present.

We believe that the knowledge and experiences gained will play a key role in their future professional development, and that they will contribute to the creation of a more inclusive society, in which the rights of all individuals are equally respected and realized.
