And this month, the supported housing service opens up a space of independence and dignity for its users. The information center for people with disabilities "Lotos" from Tuzla, with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, provided support to a young married couple with a child, thus providing them with more stable living conditions.
We had the pleasure of supporting the independence of a family and contributing to making everyday life simpler. The support included a contribution to cover the basic costs of housing, which made it possible to preserve the safety of the home and continuity in daily functioning. This type of assistance is part of a wider service of supported housing, which enables people with disabilities to live in the community, with different forms of support aligned with the actual circumstances and life goals of the user.
Over the past few months, the project has provided personal assistance, the procurement of essential furniture, and ongoing support in strengthening the independence of users. The service is particularly significant for young people with disabilities who wish to live independently, but with the support they truly need. We express hope that the activities of supported housing will continue in the upcoming period, so that an even greater number of people with disabilities will have the opportunity for a dignified, independent, and fulfilling life in the community.
