In the premises of the Information Center for People with Disabilities "Lotos" on September 25, 2018. the first meeting for the implementation of the peer support program was held. The meeting was attended by 14 young people with disabilities who, together with the leader, psychologist Bojan Šošić, created the program so that it would be useful to new generations of young people in the future. In parallel, a meeting with family members of young people with disabilities was held, led by coach Amira Salković. The goal of this meeting is also to design a peer support program for parents of children and youth with disabilities. 

The Peer Support Program is a service based on the concept that people with similar life experiences share information, knowledge, emotional and practical support in order to solve problems, develop and improve the quality of life.

This program is being implemented as part of the project "Strengthening capacities for independent living of persons with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina" which IC "Lotos" is implementing in cooperation with the Center for Independent Living from Stockholm as part of the MyRight BiH program.
