On February 12, 2025, an inspiring peer meeting for women with disabilities was held at the premises of IC "Lotos", attended by 18 participants who openly discussed their experiences, challenges, and personal progress.

It was a pleasant time of mutual support and friendship. We talked about the good and bad moments from the past period, about whether and how we gained confidence in ourselves, and about what sometimes prevents us from believing in our abilities. We discussed the fear of change, but also how change is sometimes the source of our greatest strength. Some of the participants in the meeting had started new life paths, such as marriage, while others had gone through difficult losses, so they exchanged experiences on how to deal with life's challenges. There was also talk of exercising various rights, as well as the obstacles we face in that process. We paid special attention to women's health at the meeting and talked about taking care of our bodies.

This meeting reminded the girls how important it is to have confidence in ourselves and mutual support at every step of our journey.

The meeting was held as part of the project "Improving the position of women with disabilities in BiH - reducing discrimination and violence", which IC "Lotos" implements in partnership with the Center for Independent Living Kynnys ry from Finland.
