Through the program of small grants within the project "Creating policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina with respect for human rights and the rights of persons with disabilities", implemented by the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla and Association of the Blind of Sarajevo Canton with support The European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Association of Paraplegics and Polio Patients in Zenica implements the project "Unlocking Potential: Digital Inclusion and Strengthening the Capacity of Women and Young People with Disabilities".

Through a series of trainings, women and young people with disabilities were given the opportunity to start and further strengthen their way around the digital world, from basic computer skills and internet safety to the creation of visual and video content. For young people with disabilities, each new skill meant new self-confidence.

These activities, in addition to learning, were also opportunities for socializing, mutual support, and strengthening the feeling that everyone has potential that is worth developing. Through digital skills, participants were empowered to be more visible, active, and independent, both in the work of their organizations and in everyday life.

This small grant brought a big message: when you invest in knowledge and provide opportunity, the door to a more equal and inclusive society opens for all.

This project once again confirms that investing in knowledge and digital inclusion brings concrete changes, strengthening the capacities of organizations of people with disabilities and creating opportunities for more equal participation in society.
