"Don't doubt that a group of small people can change the world. That's the only way the world changes" –Margaret Mead.
Within the project "Women's corner for our rights" which is supported by the Helsinki Citizens' Parliament from Banja Luka as part of the IN Project (Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of persons with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina), on April 1, 2015, the eighth workshop for women with disabilities was held at the premises of the Information Center "Lotos".
The workshop was attended by 14 participants, women with disabilities.
The topic of the workshop was: "Me in the group" - a workshop for strengthening group cohesion, and the workshop was led by social worker and psychotherapist Sandra Marković.
The goal of the workshop was to learn how it is necessary for all people as part of a certain group to act individually in order for that group to function well.
Through a couple of educational stories, in a symbolic comparison with a car, it is presented that we are all important parts without which joint action would not be complete and which would not function without one of the components that make it up.
Through an interesting conversation, we came to the conclusion that people with disabilities, just like everyone else, have their own irreplaceable role in the system and that they are much stronger together and that this is the only way they can achieve success.
