U okviru projekta “Empowered to Thrive – Nova Vita”, danas, 04. novembra su u prostorijama Udruženja “Nova Vita” occupational therapy and a group workshop for psychological support were held, aimed at empowering women with disabilities and women from vulnerable categories through education, therapy, and mentoring.
This project is implemented through the program of small grants within the project "Creating policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina with respect for human rights and the rights of persons with disabilities", which implements the Information Center for People with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla in partnership with the Association of Blind Cantons of Sarajevo, and is financed by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Occupational therapy "Therapeutic Singing," led by Edina Attia Ferkić, was designed to provide support to individuals facing anxiety and depression. Through group singing and musical interaction, the participants had the opportunity to express emotions, release tension, and feel the strength of community in a safe and supportive environment.
A special part of the activity was the "happy senso" multisensory gel, which through a combination of smells, touches, colors and sounds stimulated the senses of the participants, contributing to complete relaxation and creating a unique multisensory experience.
After that, psychologist La Lej Džaferagić held a workshop called "Flower of Strengths and Success," which took place in the spirit of getting to know each other, support, and mutual growth.
Participants, through the creative task of drawing a flower, had the opportunity to recognize their successes, qualities, and strengths, and to become aware of what motivates and supports them in everyday life. The activity initiated a conversation about motivation, self-confidence, and personal development, with a lot of positive energy, inspiration, and mutual support.
We thank all the participants who, with their participation and energy, contributed to the warm, supportive atmosphere of today's meeting.
