On September 12, 2017, the Coalition of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities of the Tuzla Canton held a Round Table in Sapna to promote the Strategy for Improving the Social Position of Persons with Disabilities in the FBiH 2016-2021 and the Development of Local Action Plans in the Field of Disability. The round table was attended by 23 participants, the opening speaker was the President of the Coalition of Persons with Disabilities of the Tuzla Canton Suvad Zahirović, and the attendees were also addressed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azem Poljić.
The round table was an opportunity to present to the public and initiate the development of Local Action Plans in the field of disability. The discussion focused on the creation of an action plan that would foresee measures that the Municipality of Sapna could take within its jurisdiction to respond to the needs of persons with disabilities and to address issues that create obstacles to the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all segments of society.
As part of the Campaign #ProudOfThemselves In Sapna, a petition was also signed to support citizens in amending the Regulation on the Unified List of Orthopedic and Other Aids.
