In the hotel "Zlača", Banovići, on May 20 and 21, a workshop was held on the topic "UN Convention and strengthening of leadership skills" for members of the Women's Forum and Active Youth Persons with Disabilities Coalition OOSI TK.
The workshop was attended by 25 participants who in these two days had the opportunity to become better acquainted with individual members of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and how these members are connected to real situations in their lives. The lecturer on the history of the creation and adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was Mr. Suvad Zahirović, who personally made a huge contribution to this process and attended one of the sessions where the text of the Convention was agreed upon.
On the second day of the workshop, through interactive exercises designed and led by Mrs. Zumreta Galijašević Baluković, a long-time activist and fighter for the rights of people with disabilities, those present were able to recognize the leadership skills they possess, and we hope that they will use the acquired knowledge in the best way in their personal development as well as in their future work.
The workshop was realized within the program of joint activities of coalitions financed by MyRight Sweden.
