In order to improve the quality of life of all young people in BiH, special emphasis is placed on the development and identification of services, activities and tools that can be used and are accessible to young people with disabilities. In this context, a group of young representatives with disabilities from our organization participated in the International Seminar held in the beautiful coastal city of Larnaca, Cyprus, from 5 to 9 March 2024.
The seminar was implemented as part of the 'Intouch' project activities, which are jointly implemented by organizations from Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania, and which is implemented in BiH by the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities 'Lotos' from Tuzla.
This was an opportunity for youth workers from the partner countries of the 'Intouch' project to test the physical, information and communication and accessibility of services that represent good practices and tools already available to all young people in the participating countries and to introduce young people in their countries to tools that can be used in the process of non-formal education. One of the tasks in Larnaca was to gain a theoretical and practical understanding of accessibility and accessibility standards and to identify constraints so that activities and services could be equally accessible to young people with and without disabilities. The ultimate goal of the project is to create a mobile application with accessible services and activities for young people in the partner countries of the project.

Youth workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina made an important and full contribution to the testing of activities, and we also had a representative of our organization in the coaching-facilitator team. The seminar was led and practically directed by a two-member team of trainers-facilitators from Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This seminar in Larnaca enabled the promotion of the significant level of human, organizational and other capacities at our disposal and the position that the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities 'Lotos' has in cross-border cooperation projects. At the same time, the seminar enabled the highlighting of the practical importance of accessibility and the response to the need to harmonize theory and practice in the context of the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Partners in the project, along with the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla, are: Associazione ABiCi (Italy), TDM Malta, Active Zone Outdoor (Cyprus), Beyond Barriers (Albania) and the Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro.
