In order to improve the quality of life of all young people in BiH, special emphasis is placed on the development and identification of services, activities and tools that can be used and are accessible to young people with disabilities. In this context, an inclusive team of six members represented our organization and participated in the international event held in Podgorica from 24 to 30 June 2024.
The event was implemented as one of the activities of the "In Touch" project, which is jointly implemented by organizations from Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania, and which is implemented in BiH by the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" from Tuzla.
This was an opportunity to promote the human, organizational and other potential of young activists, which was achieved through active participation and contribution. Among other things, testing of physical, information and communication, and accessibility of services pointed to the importance of good practices and didactic tools available to young people in the process of non-formal education. All activities were of a practical nature, presented by the facilitation team.
This event enabled the establishment of cross-border project cooperation, and the introduction of different countries and cultures, as well as the position of persons with disabilities within them.
Partners in the project, along with the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla, are: Associazione ABiCi (Italy), TDM Malta, Active Zone Outdoor (Cyprus), Beyond Barriers (Albania) and the Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro.
