Prerequisites for the independent life of people with disabilities - the role of society

The roundtable will bring together all interest groups, starting from the executive branch, institutions and organizations in the field of care, education and employment, organizations of people with disabilities, the media, as well as representatives of the academic community in the given field, in order to achieve the following goals through a discussion based on the results of the Research:

– Determine the role and responsibility of each of the interest groups present in raising awareness about the real potential of people with disabilities, as equal members of the community with equal opportunities;

– Ddefine what each of the interest groups should specifically do to ensure a greater degree of inclusion of persons with disabilities in society, compared to the current situation;

- Determine the perspective of introducing the concept of Independent Living for people with disabilities in our community, and what are the internal limitations, independent of external factors, that can be removed in a realistic period of time.
