On October 7, 2026, two workshop modules for young people with and without disabilities - "Inclusion in Nature" and "Stress Management Techniques" were held at Mionic Ranch in Gradačac, organized by the Information Center for People with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla.
The workshop was attended by around 20 young people—with a roughly equal split between those with and without disabilities, as well as between young women and men. Through collaborative work, discussion, and practical exercises, the participants had the opportunity to learn from one another, foster mutual understanding, and create a space where differences become an opportunity for connection.
The special focus of the second module was on recognizing and managing one's own emotions and stress. Participants discussed different ways of reacting in stressful situations, as well as techniques that can help in better control of emotions. Special attention is paid to breathing exercises and practical techniques for calming down and managing stress more easily.
Working in a natural environment additionally contributed to the relaxed atmosphere and enabled young people to develop new skills through experiential learning, but also to get to know and connect with each other.
We are particularly pleased that cooperation with the "Hasan Kikić" Mixed Secondary School in Gradačac has been successfully continued and further strengthened through this activity.
What makes this workshop particularly valuable is the shared experience of young people with and without disabilities - learning, socializing and creating new connections in an atmosphere of acceptance and mutual respect.
