In the period from August 25 to 28, 2026, as part of the project "Young advocates of inclusion - independent life in practice" implemented by I.C. "Lotos", with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, held an educational camp on Lake Pliva in Jajce, which brought together young people with and without disabilities, with a common desire to learn, connect, empower and be initiators of positive changes in their communities.

The goal of the camp was to get acquainted with the skills of independent living and to develop initiatives that will contribute to improving the quality of services for young people.

In beautiful nature, through interactive workshops, peer meetings, conversations and practical activities, young people had the opportunity to discuss the importance of activism and joint action of young people with and without disabilities.

The skills of communication, advocacy, teamwork and independent living have been improved. Special attention is paid to the topics of accessibility, personal assistance, equal participation and the creation of a society where everyone has equal opportunities.

The camp was a space for learning, new friendships, exchange of experiences, mutual support and breaking down prejudices. We have shown that diversity is not an obstacle, but an asset that connects us and makes us stronger.

Our young people have shown once again that they have the knowledge, energy and courage to contribute to the creation of more accessible, inclusive and fair local communities through their actions.

The event was also supported by the Government of TK, Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and MyRight – Empowers people with disabilities.
