The project "Creating policies in BiH with respect for human rights and the rights of persons with disabilities" aims to ensure equality and respect for all human rights of persons with disabilities in our country. This important project, which he supports European Union implemented by the Information Center for People with Disabilities "Lotos" and the Association of Blind Cantons of Sarajevo. Together we are working towards a future where every person will have equal chances. During the project, the strong commitment of decision makers and policy makers in BiH was shown, with the aim of ensuring that human rights are recognized as a key point for shaping policies in the field of disability. Our mission is to support institutions to adopt an approach based on human rights, harmonized with international and European standards. One of the most important aspects of this project is the efficient coordination and cooperation between organizations of persons with disabilities and state bodies responsible for policy development. We work together to ensure that the perspectives and needs of people with disabilities are fully integrated into all relevant laws. Through campaigns and education, we change the public perception of disability, promoting it through the prism of human rights and equality. In addition, the project creates mechanisms that enable the active participation of members of organizations of people with disabilities, with special emphasis on women and young people with disabilities, in order to ensure their voice and influence in all important processes.

This project is not only a step towards improving the rights of people with disabilities, but also towards creating a more inclusive and fair society for everyone.
