Information center for people with disabilities "Lotos" i Association of the Blind of Sarajevo Canton continue the implementation of the project "Creating policies in BiH while respecting human rights and the rights of persons with disabilities", funded by European Union. The goal of the project is to advance public policies in the field of disability through an approach based on human rights, aligned with international standards such as the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which aims to create a more inclusive society.

Trainings for decision-makers have already shown positive developments, with participants gaining a deeper understanding of the rights of persons with disabilities. Also, disability organizations have strengthened partnerships, which is crucial for changing the approach to disability in society.

The project aims to improve public perception of disability and develop policies based on human rights, with stronger cooperation between organizations and decision makers. It also provides support to organizations of persons with disabilities through training and education for effective advocacy of rights at all levels.

Our mission is to improve access to human rights, promote the inclusion of women and youth with disabilities, and ensure equal opportunities for a life worthy of humanity.

We continue our activities towards creating an inclusive society, because together we can achieve change.
