More than 500 people from Tuzla signed a petition in support of the request of organizations of people with disabilities of the Tuzla Canton.

In accordance with the announcement, organizations of people with disabilities, members of the Coalition of Organizations of People with Disabilities of the Tuzla Canton, held the first street action to collect signatures in support of the campaign: "Stop Barriers, Tuzla Canton Tailored to All Citizens" on Friday, September 6th, at the square near "Meša and Ismet", in front of the former Centar cinema, in Tuzla.

Representatives of most organizations of persons with disabilities that are members of the Coalition participated in the campaign, and technical support and organization of signing the petition were organized by the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos".

Considering the fact that in Tuzla, in just over two hours of signing the petition, we collected more than 500 signatures from citizens, we believe that by the end of the campaign, the number of signatures on the petition will be so high that representatives of the Tuzla Canton Assembly, the Government and line ministries, and representatives of municipalities will accept the requests of organizations of persons with disabilities and, in the shortest possible time, begin removing barriers to access to public spaces and buildings, access to information, and access to services for persons with disabilities.

We believe that electronic and print media operating in the Tuzla Canton will contribute to the campaign, and that a large number of our fellow citizens will sign the petition, because:

"Good for people with disabilities is better for everyone".
