The EU Flood Recovery Programme will, through the Economic Recovery component, provide grants to individuals who suffered material damage from the floods in May 2014 with the aim of restoring their economic situation in selected local government units (Maglaj, Odžak, Domaljevac-Šamac, Orašje, Tuzla, Bijeljina, Šamac, Doboj, Prijedor, Banja Luka and Brčko).
Assistance will include funds directly related to individual needs in the agriculture and food production sector.
The individual amount of funds for which a request can be submitted is from 500 KM to 3,000 KM per individual/household.
Funds received through the EU Flood Recovery Program can only be used for the following purposes:
1. Small livestock (total value with VAT up to 3,000 KM).
a. Procurement of day-old chicks, broilers for fattening, laying hens and other poultry to establish a basic flock.
2. Planting material (total value with VAT up to 1,000 KM).
a. Procurement of planting material for vegetable crops (tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, salads, etc.) to re-establish production.
b. Procurement of planting material for fruit crops to re-establish production (strawberries, gherkins, raspberries, etc.).
3. Greenhouses up to 100m2 (total value including VAT up to 2,500 KM).
a. Procurement of greenhouses.
b. Procurement of irrigation systems.
4. Mechanization and equipment for agricultural production (total value including VAT up to 1,500 KM).
a. Acquisition of destroyed and/or damaged equipment.
b. Procurement of accessories for agricultural machinery.
