Dear readers, the new 157th issue of the magazine "Initiative" has been released.

In the new issue, we raise important questions and bring stories that change perspectives.
We write about how persons with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina are still systematically neglected, despite numerous international recommendations that remain just dead letters on paper.
However, we do not stop at criticism; there are also stories about disability and parenthood, love, everyday victories, creative solutions, and technologies that know no barriers.
Through examples from the past and present, from ancient ramps in Greek temples to modern applications designed for greater accessibility, we show that inclusion is not a luxury, but a right.
We remember Frida's courage, we follow the first medical procedures from the distant past, but we also overcome the everyday challenges of walking on tiptoes in children, traveling, and mechanisms of protection and health.
The 'Initiative' remains a safe space for resistance against prejudice and intolerance and a place where doors are opened to dialogue, knowledge, and true solidarity.
The new issue will not leave you indifferent, as when the obstacles are social, change is born from every raised voice and from the strength of people with disabilities who choose activism over silence.
Through a conversation with a young activist, we bring a strong message: disability is not an obstacle – the obstacles are in society.
