Dear readers, the new, 146th issue of the magazine "Inicijativa" has been published.

We bring you the latest news about the Freedom Drive in Brussels, which this year has the theme "50 years of independent living" and which again this year provided an opportunity for supporters of the independent living movement from across Europe to promote the right to independent living for people with disabilities.

We also talk about challenges and support in the lives of blind and partially sighted people, as well as positive examples of the willingness of medical and police personnel to learn sign language.

We also share texts about the importance of adapting the workplace to people with disabilities and, in general, the need to ensure architectural accessibility, as well as adequate orthopedic aids for a dignified and quality life for people with disabilities.

We spoke with the young and hard-working activist Amela Goletić about her dealing with obstacles in life with a disability, successful completion of studies, work engagement, etc.
