On October 30, 2026, representatives of the Information Center for People with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla participated in the conference "Spreading Inclusive Practices and Strengthening Civil Society in BiH", which was organized by the Association "Mala Sirena" from Zavidovići. The conference was held in the premises of this association, as part of a project supported by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the presence of the ambassador of the Czech Republic.
The event brought together around 50 participants, representatives of civil society organizations, institutions and other relevant actors who, through their work, contribute to the development of inclusive practices and improvement of the position of children and persons with disabilities.
During the conference, the results of the project financed with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented, with a special focus on the challenges and needs of children with disabilities and their families. Special attention is paid to the importance of developing accessible and quality support centers, strengthening resources and services intended for families, as well as ensuring sustainable financing of the work of associations that provide support to children with disabilities and their families.
The exchange of experiences, the presentation of concrete examples of good practice and discussions on the possibilities of improving support once again confirmed the importance of mutual cooperation, the connection of civil society organizations and the partnership relationship with institutions.
Representatives of I.C. "Lotos" especially emphasized the quality of the organization, the content of the program and the dedication of the people who work every day to create better conditions for the lives of children with disabilities and their families.
Sincere congratulations to the "Mala Sirena" Association for the successfully organized conference and the valuable work that contributes to the spread of inclusive practices, the strengthening of civil society and the advancement of the rights of persons with disabilities and their families.
I.C. "Lotos" continues to support initiatives that contribute to connecting organizations, exchanging knowledge and experiences, and building a more inclusive society in which everyone has equal opportunities to participate and exercise their rights.
