The Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla, as part of the Campaign for Women with Disabilities "It's Time for Our Rights", organized a petition signing on March 7th on Korzo.
The goal of the Campaign is to promote the rights of women with disabilities that are not exercised equally with other citizens, such as the right to education, employment, social and health care, movement without architectural barriers, a dignified life, etc.
"Women with disabilities need support to exercise their rights in all segments of life. Women with disabilities have a percentage of worse health conditions due to inadequate access to health care," said Korz.
As part of the Campaign, citizens supported women with disabilities by signing a Petition to improve access to healthcare for women with disabilities by ensuring architectural accessibility and necessary medical equipment, such as the purchase of a gynecological table for women with disabilities.

After the end of the Campaign, the collected signatures will be delivered to competent addresses, such as the Ministry of Health of Tuzla Canton.
The project of the same name "Time for Our Rights" will contribute to making Bosnian and Herzegovina's society more inclusive and to ensuring certain types of necessary support that will enable women with disabilities, as the most marginalized groups, to exercise their rights within their communities on an equal basis with other citizens.

This project is just the first step towards a wider range of activities that should be implemented for and with women with disabilities throughout the territory of BiH with the aim of improving their status in society.
The project "It's Time for Our Rights" is implemented by IC "Lotos" and is partially funded by the US Government.
