After showing through the video how to communicate with deaf people in a simple and natural way, our activists Alma Pašalić and Bojana Ljubojevic decided to take a step further. Their initiative resulted in practical manual "Signs connect - Manual for communication with people with hearing impairment", intended for everyone who wants to improve their communication and contribute to a more inclusive society.
The manual was created with the aim of bringing the basic principles of communication with deaf people closer in a simple, comprehensible and practical way. Through short explanations, useful tips and examples from everyday life, it is a valuable resource for citizens, families, educational institutions, public institutions and anyone who wants to achieve better communication.
The additional video content available via QR code gives the manual a special value, which allows users to get to know the basics of sign language and communication in an interactive and accessible way.
We believe that this manual will be a useful tool for everyone who wants to contribute to the creation of a society where communication is not an obstacle, but a bridge that connects people.
The program is implemented through I.C. "Lotos", within the Network of Women with Disabilities, with the support of the European Disability Forum, Kynnys ry and Trag foundation / OAK Foundation.
