17 young people with disabilities attended the youth peer meeting on December 26, 2024 at the "Citta del sale" restaurant in Tuzla. We remembered all the joint successes and nice moments spent at the meetings this year. Through gatherings, conversations and joint activities, we created an opportunity for mutual connection, exchange of experiences and support. It was a time of activism, fun and inspiring conversations, where we all strengthened our friendships and community together.

At each meeting, we shared ideas for future projects and discussed our plans and wishes for the coming year. We look forward to all the new opportunities that await us, new friendships and even more unforgettable moments.

Saying goodbye to the old year, the young people who participated in the meeting are looking forward to the continuation of this beautiful joint story in the next year.

At the same time, in the "Sesame" restaurant, we had special moments at the meeting of parents of young people with disabilities, which was attended by 7 participants. At the meeting, parents had the opportunity to talk to each other, share experiences, challenges and support. It was a space where they could openly talk about their concerns and hopes, but also celebrate the successes and progress of their children.

This meeting of parents was extremely important because it provided an opportunity to build togetherness, understanding and mutual help. Through dialogue and support, we have all created a strong network together that makes a difference in the lives of our young people and their families.

Thank you to all young people and their parents for their involvement, because their strength and love are the foundation of our community. We look forward to all future meetings and new paths that we will embark on together in the next year.

The event was implemented as part of the project "Strengthening capacities for independent living of persons with disabilities in BiH", which IC "Lotos" is implementing in partnership with the Center for Independent Living Stil through MyRight Sweden, as well as the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of the FBiH and the Government of Tuzla Canton.
