IC, "Lotos" held the 9th Session for young people with disabilities and Training for their parents and family members at the "Dramar" Center on December 22, 2017. The session for young people was attended by 10 participants, the topic was: "Personal assistance and accessibility" and the peer-support leader was Dr.sci. Zumreta Galijašević.
The training for parents and family members was attended by 10 participants, the topic was: "Prerequisites and challenges of independent living" and was led by Sandra Marković and Amira Salković. This meeting also marks the completion of the current project: "Strengthening capacities for independent living of persons with disabilities in BiH", and project coordinator Jasmina Đukić presented to the participants future activities related to spreading the idea and concept of independent living and the inclusion of young persons with disabilities from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project "Strengthening capacities for independent living in BiH" is funded by the Swedish International Development Agency Sida through the Swedish organization for people with disabilities for international cooperation MyRight and the partner organization STIL - Center for Independent Living from Stockholm.
