With great pleasure and special pride, representatives of our organization, the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities “Lotos” Tuzla, attended the celebration of 30 years of existence and work of the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities of Serbia (CIL) – an organization that has been persistently pushing boundaries, empowering persons with disabilities and advocating for a society of equal opportunities for all for three decades. The celebration was filled with conversations about independent living of persons with disabilities and personal assistance, with a special emphasis on the significant results and changes that the Center has achieved during its 30 years of operation. Those present also remembered with special respect prominent activists who are no longer with us, including Gordana Rajkov, the founder of the Center, whose vision, dedication and struggle left an indelible mark. We extend our sincere congratulations to CIL on its great anniversary and thank you for the inspiration, tireless work and long-standing struggle for a dignified and independent life for persons with disabilities. We look forward to continued cooperation and joint successes in the years to come.
