In Goražde, in the small hall of the Cultural Center, on April 26, 2011, the fifteenth anniversary of the existence and work of the Association of Citizens Suffering from Cerebral Palsy, Infantile Paralysis and Muscular Dystrophy of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton of Goražde was solemnly celebrated.
This was an opportunity for the present representatives of cantonal and municipal government institutions, public workers, members of the association and guests to get acquainted with the most important activities that the Association has implemented over the past fifteen years and the most important donors and those who supported the work of this association.
The Mayor of Goražde promised continued support to the Association, and representatives of the German city of Gera, who have previously supported the work of the Association, announced the start of a new cycle of projects that will be implemented in cooperation with the Association.
The anniversary was also used to launch a campaign to remove architectural barriers, but also to work on changing the awareness of the citizens of Goražde and surrounding towns about the rights and abilities of people with disabilities.
