Within the framework of the project "Creating policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina with respect for human rights and the rights of persons with disabilities", implemented in partnership by the Association of Citizens Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla and the Association of Blind Cantons of Sarajevo, and funded by the European Union, on November 6, 2025, a two-day training for organizations of persons with disabilities began on the topic "Work with the media, public relations, use of social networks".
The training is held in Sarajevo, at the Hollywood Hotel, and is led by trainer Uma Isić.
This is the fourth training organized within the mentioned project, while the fifth training is planned for next year.
The main goal of the project is to contribute to the development of public policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of disability based on the concept of human rights, defined in international and European documents.
The project also aims to ensure equal understanding and consistent application of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in policies and legal solutions at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina are participating in the training, primarily members of the Union of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities in BiH.
