The local advocacy group of organizations for persons with disabilities in the Tuzla region, through the project "DISC," organized a street action on August 28, 2025, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of accessibility for persons with disabilities.

The event was held at Alija Izetbegović Square in Gradačac and gathered numerous citizens, activists, and representatives of organizations.

The campaign was interactive and educational, and passersby had the opportunity to experience the obstacles that people with disabilities face every day. Through simulations and symbolic "investment" of fake money, citizens expressed which areas they consider most important for investment, focusing on inclusion and equality.

A particularly interesting segment was the motivational messages in the form of "bubbles," which were supported by the citizens.

A passerby said:
"Education is the most important to me because if we are smart and educated, our hands are free for many things."

People with disabilities have made a special effort to bring closer the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities through simulations and conversation, as well as to highlight the importance of collective responsibility in building an accessible society.

We thank all participants, passersby, and partners who supported this initiative.

Once again, it has been confirmed that the rights of persons with disabilities and accessibility concern all of us, as only together can we build a more inclusive and fairer society.

The DISC project (Disability Inclusion and Social Cooperation) is a project aimed at improving the position of people with disabilities and strengthening the capacities of organizations of people with disabilities, funded by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with co-financing from the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Slovenian Caritas.
