In the premises of I.C. "Lotos" Tuzla, on March 27, 2025, an important meeting was held between the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Renaud Meyer, the head of the UNDP Office in Banja Luka, Goran Vukmir, and the representative of I.C. "Lotos", Association of Romani Women "Bolja bućuću" of the City of Tuzla, Association "Nektar" and Beekeeping Society "Nektar" Tuzla.
The meeting was dedicated to considering the key goals and programs of UNDP for the next five years in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special focus on the possibilities of future cooperation. They discussed challenges in the field of human rights, improving the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as well as issues of other vulnerable groups.
The importance of partnership with civil society organizations, the private and public sector in achieving goals that encourage intersectionality was emphasized. Key strategies of the program were highlighted, among which gender equality, inclusion of persons with disabilities, which will be integrated into all aspects of the program, as well as cooperation with young people and promotion of digital transformation, stand out.
