Presentation/promotion of the Strategy for Improving the Rights and Position of Persons with Disabilities in FBiH 2025-2030. year

The Association of the Blind Cantons of Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, organized on December 11, 2025, in Tuzla, the presentation / promotion of the Federal Strategy for Improving the Rights and Position of Persons with Disabilities for the period 2025-2030. year.
The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 28, 2025, and the House of Peoples on October 30, 2025, adopted the Strategy for the Improvement of the Rights and Position of Persons with Disabilities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina 2025-2030, thereby obliging government institutions at all levels in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to implement it. The strategy was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina number: 92/25 of December 3, 2025.
The aim of this presentation is to introduce public office holders, representatives of government institutions and representatives of organizations of people with disabilities to the key elements of the Strategy, so that they can start drafting a Local Action Plan in the area of ​​disability for their canton, in this case Tuzla Canton, as soon as possible.
As in other cantons, the presentation of the Strategy was prepared by Esma Palić and Mirela Spahović, employees of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, who coordinated the process of preparing this Strategy.
After the presentation of the Strategy, Fikret Zuko, in the role of moderator of this meeting, thanked Mrs. Palić and Spahović for the detailed presentation and explanations and pointed out that the goal of this meeting is to agree on the key elements and priorities for the Local Action Plan for Tuzla Canton.
The moderator opened the discussion and suggestions and comments were presented, both by representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities, and by representatives of government institutions, in relation to the presented Strategy.
In the end, it was agreed that in the coming period, a team/working group will be activated, which will prepare a Local Action Plan for the Tuzla Canton, taking into account the participation of representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities in this process.
The meeting was organized in the hotel "Salis" - Tuzla.
