From September 15 to 17, members of the European Network for Independent Living – ENIL were in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where, with the support of members from I.C. "Lotos," they held the annual Regional Meeting of members, this time for Eastern Europe and the Balkans, a meeting of the ENIL Board of Directors, and a Conference on independent living in the region titled "The Path to Independent Living in the Western Balkans."

The purpose of these meetings is for members from this part of Europe to have the opportunity to meet, discuss, and exchange experiences on issues that are important to them and the movement of persons with disabilities, focusing on independent living and personal assistance.

The conference was attended by participants from Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Armenia, Georgia, and Turkey, as well as members of the ENIL board from North Macedonia, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, and San Marino.
