A gathering for young people and women with disabilities in Tuzla – a space for connection, understanding, and togetherness.
In Bingo City Center Tuzla, on October 9, 2026, we organized a gathering of young people and women with disabilities that combined fun, conversation and peer support. A joint trip to the cinema, lunch and an open exchange of experiences gave the participants the opportunity to spend quality time together, strengthen mutual ties and create new memories.
The film screening offered an opportunity to enjoy a shared experience, exchange impressions and opinions, and actively participate in the community's social life. Such activities contribute to forging new friendships, strengthening the sense of belonging, and reducing social isolation among people with disabilities.
The socializing continued with a joint lunch and conversation about everyday experiences, life's challenges, but also beautiful moments that make life richer. They discussed different life situations, going to concerts, staying in the spa, going out and other activities that contribute to a better and more fulfilled life.
Peer support gave the meeting a special value - the opportunity for participants to listen to each other, share their experiences, discuss challenges and provide mutual encouragement. In an atmosphere of trust and understanding, we once again confirmed how important friendship, acceptance and the feeling that we are not alone in our experiences are.
Inclusion means much more than removing physical barriers. It means having the opportunity to socialize, have fun, create friendships, exchange experiences and participate equally in community life. It is through these kinds of meetings that we build an environment in which every person has the opportunity to be accepted, listened to and included.
We are grateful for another day filled with smiles, conversations, understanding, and togetherness! We continue to create opportunities for connection, empowerment, and mutual support among young people and women with disabilities, because together we overcome challenges more easily and find greater joy in life's moments.
The activities were implemented within the framework of the program of work with young people and women with disabilities, with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, the Government of Tuzla Canton, the City of Tuzla, the organization MyRight - Empowers people with disabilities (Sweden) and the organization Kynnys ry (Finland).
