THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS ADOPTED NEW RULES - ENABLED EMPLOYMENT UNDER GENERAL CONDITIONS AND PROFESSIONAL REHABILITATION FOR PERSONS WITH 50% DISABILITY

The Board of Directors of the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities has adopted new regulations that improve the conditions for exercising the right to incentive funds from the Fund, and at the beginning of August it is expected that public invitations worth KM 20.3 million will be announced.

One of the most significant novelties relates to the expansion of the circle of beneficiaries who can receive support from the Fund. Namely, in addition to persons with disabilities with an established degree of disability of 60% or more, who have been able to apply for financial incentives for new employment, from now on people with an established degree of disability of 50% also have this option. Employers can apply for a financial incentive for the new employment of persons with a determined degree of disability of 50% under general conditions (on the open labor market, in state bodies, judicial bodies, local administration bodies, public services, institutions, funds, public companies, companies and other legal entities that were not established for the employment of persons with disabilities, in accordance with the Law), which further encourages the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the open labor market.

Also, persons with disabilities with an established degree of disability of 50% can apply for professional rehabilitation programs (LOT III) in the value of up to 7,000.00 KM, which enable financing or co-financing of extraordinary secondary and higher education, further training and retraining, professional exams, trainings, courses (including IT, foreign languages ​​and driving test), and the purchase of aids and equipment necessary for a disabled person to study and work.

This expansion of the circle of beneficiaries was made possible thanks to the fact that the Fund has sufficient financial resources, which created the conditions for the right to support for persons with disabilities with an established degree of disability of 50%.

We inform the public that the Fund is intensively carrying out activities on the preparation of two public calls for a total value of 20.3 million, namely for:

- Public call for the award of financial incentives for new employment of persons with disabilities in 2026 in the amount of KM 12 million;

- Public call for the allocation of funds for the financing and co-financing of the employment sustainability program, the development of companies for the employment of persons with disabilities and protective workshops, and the program of professional rehabilitation of persons with disabilities in the year 2026, in the value of 8.3 million KM.

The announcement of public calls is planned for the first half of August 2026.
