As part of regular activities, a peer meeting was held for people with disabilities in the third age, which took place in the sign of sincere conversations, mutual support and exchange of valuable life experiences.
Through an open discussion on the topic of who is our greatest support in life, participants had the opportunity to share their emotions, personal stories and reflections on everyday challenges. The immense importance of family, friends, neighbors and all those who provide help, understanding and a sense of security was highlighted. Special emphasis was placed on the support of people who share similar life experiences, because it is precisely empathy, understanding and exchange that can provide additional motivation and strength.
During the meeting, participants exchanged encouraging words and useful advice, and reminded that support is often not grandiose – but is reflected in small, sincere gestures: careful listening, a kind word, a smile and the feeling that we are not alone. Such meetings contribute to strengthening mutual trust, solidarity and a sense of belonging to the community.
We would like to thank all the participants for coming and for their trust. We look forward to future meetings and opportunities for mutual empowerment.
The meeting was realized with the financial support of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, STIL - personal assistants och politisk pärvakan, the Government of Tuzla Canton and the City of Tuzla.
