In a space that from day one carried the warmth of understanding, trust, and support, a story emerged that was much more than a project. Nova Vita Association Sarajevo implemented the project "Empowered to Thrive Nova Vita", which was a path and a powerful process in which women, slowly but surely, found themselves, their voice and their strength. During the months of working together, each workshop was an opportunity to meet other women who, often for the first time, were truly understood. Through learning business English, communication and working in Canva, the women built specific skills, but what happened between the lines was even more significant, self-confidence was born. They learned how to present themselves, how to express their desires and plans, how to stand behind who they are. Occupational therapy workshops brought a special touch. Through work with their hands, colors, words and silence, the participants learned to listen to themselves. In those moments, not only objects were created, but also a sense of value and belonging. Conversations about emotions, anxiety, boundaries and inner strength opened up space for honesty that connects. In that safe circle, every shared story became easier.

The project was given special strength by workshops dedicated to mental health and personal development. Through topics such as the balance of body, mind and emotions, self-acceptance and setting boundaries, women learned that self-care is not a luxury, but the foundation of every change. They learned to stop, breathe and admit to themselves that they are important. And it was precisely in these moments of awareness that the most profound changes took place. But this project did not stop at individual empowerment. From shared conversations, experiences and recognized challenges, an initiative was born – the voice of women who decided not to remain invisible. They clearly sent a message that empowerment must be everyone's task, that psychological support and economic empowerment must go together. That programs should be adapted to the real lives of women, their opportunities, obligations and challenges. From this joint work, a vision of change emerged that will live on after this project.

Through all the activities, from creative workshops and educations, to evenings filled with conversations, ideas and shared moments, something priceless was built, a sense of community. Women stopped being just participants and became supporters of each other, initiators of ideas and bearers of change in their communities. Today, when we look back on this journey, it is clear that "Empowered to Thrive - Nova Vita" left its mark. Not only through the knowledge and skills that have been acquired, but through the changes that have taken place from within. Through the courage to speak, to ask for support, to believe in oneself. This is not just the completion of one project. This is a continuation of a story. Stories in which women remain connected, stronger and more ready to build new opportunities, for themselves and for others.
