January 4th, the day of the world's most universal script: All people use the same 63 characters

In 2018, the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) adopted the World Blind Union Resolution, confirming January 4, the day of Lujo Braj's birth, as World Braille Day. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of transforming the written word into a tactile form for the benefit of blind and partially sighted people around the world.
Braille was invented and perfected by Louis Braille (1809-1852) and is the only writing system for the blind. It is used by blind people all over the world, and the European Academies of Sciences and Arts have declared Braille the greatest technical achievement of the 19th century.
