NEW STREETS, NEW ADVOCACY ACTION - "ACCESSIBILITY - BECAUSE IT CONCERNS ALL OF US!"

This time, with great pleasure, we bring you the atmosphere of the street campaign we held in Kalesija.
On November 4, 2025, members of the Local Advocacy Group Tuzla, with the support of the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos", implemented an action that once again brought together a large number of citizens. As in previous times, the goal was to raise awareness and encourage citizens to think about the importance of accessibility in all aspects of society.
The simulation game “What would you invest your money in?” was the centerpiece of the event, where Kalesija citizens symbolically invested in initiatives that most closely related to their daily needs and desires. Citizens had the opportunity to choose between:
1. Investing in tourism development in the local community
2. Purchasing expensive cars for politicians/decision-makers
3. Investment in education and accessibility of educational institutions
Each counterfeit bill that ended up in the box symbolized support for a specific initiative. Together, we are creating a community that understands the importance of investing in an inclusive society.

The action is realized as part of the DISC project, financed by the European Union in BiH, and co-financed by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and Slovenian Caritas. The project is implemented by Caritas BiH in partnership with the Union of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities in BiH, the Association "Vedri Osmijeh" from Mostar, the Association of the Blind of Republika Srpska and the Association of the Blind of Sarajevo Canton.
