In Tuzla, on April 24, 2025, a meeting of the members of the Working Body for the preparation of materials for the thematic session of the Tuzla Canton Assembly, which will be dedicated to the rights and position of children and persons with disabilities, was held.

The meeting was attended by representatives of several relevant ministries of the Tuzla Canton, the Employment Service of TK, as well as representatives of associations and organizations of persons with disabilities.

During the meeting, members of the Working Body jointly worked on defining proposals for measures to improve the position of children and persons with disabilities in various social areas: health, education, accessibility, sports and culture, employment and other spheres. The aim of the meeting was to plan the activities of the Working Body, which will result in the preparation of proposals for measures intended for the Government of Tuzla Canton, which will serve as the basis for the thematic session of the TK Assembly.

The event was organized within the framework of the project "Creating policies in BiH with respect for human rights and the rights of persons with disabilities", implemented by the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla, in partnership with the Association of the Blind Cantons of Sarajevo, with the financial support of the European Union.
