From June 3rd to 6th, in the pleasant atmosphere of the Hotel “Sunce” in Neum, organized by the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities “Lotos” from Tuzla, the conference “Women with Disabilities and Gender Equality” was held. During these three days, the participants of the conference had the opportunity to discuss many important topics related to their empowerment and gender equality, as well as mentoring programs and the provision of psychological support by experts. The prevention and protection of victims of violence were also discussed, as well as the legal solutions and protection mechanisms available to them. Regional perspectives and the importance of joint action were explored and presented, and the importance of including women in the movement of persons with disabilities was also highlighted, so that women with disabilities can have an equal opportunity to participate in the exercised their rights and had a dignified life.
