"I'm here - visible and proud!" – 2nd meeting with women with disabilities

As part of the activities of the project of empowering women with disabilities "I am here - visible and proud!" On March 8, 2022, mentor Adisa Kišić held the 2nd meeting with women with disabilities, participants of the mentoring program. The meeting was held online, via the ZOOM platform, and the topic of the meeting was "The position and opportunities of women with disabilities with a focus on March 8 - International Women's Day". The meeting presented the situation and challenges regarding gender equality and the position and rights of women in the world. Participants shared their views and experiences on the celebration of March 8th, and were reminded of the essence of celebrating this holiday, which is the struggle of women for equality that began a long time ago, and which we continue together, with the even greater challenge faced by women with disabilities who are discriminated against in multiple ways. The importance of providing support and motivation to women with disabilities to become more involved in the work of organizations of people with disabilities and to be more visible in the community was discussed. Participants were encouraged to consider recording short motivational video messages to other women with disabilities at the next meeting.
