In the period from October 1 to 3, 2019, 16 representatives of the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla attended events as part of the Freedom Drive in Brussels, Belgium. #2019FreedomDrive. Freedom Drive organized by European Network on Independent Living – ENIL is one of the key campaigns and has been held every two years since 2003. It provides activists from the independent living movement with a unique opportunity to meet with MEPs to advocate for human rights, as well as share experiences and ideas with colleagues from across Europe. Activists, led by the European Network for Independent Living - ENIL, have one main demand: that the funds of the European Union stop.to spend on residential institutions that segregate people with disabilities and deny them the right to independent living. Young people with disabilities, participants in the project "Strengthening capacities for independent living of people with disabilities in BiH" as well as representatives of IC "Lotos" attended a conference dedicated to independent living, the ENIL General Assembly and a meeting of the ENIL Youth Network.

Representatives of IC "Lotos" participated in Freedom Drive 2019 and the protest march to the European Parliament as part of the activities of the project "Strengthening capacities for independent living of persons with disabilities in BiH", which they are implementing in partnership with the Center for Independent Living STIL – personal assistance and political influence from Stockholm, funded by MyRight- Empowers people with disabilities.
