The project, working title Trans2Work, as part of the Erasmus+ program, is being implemented by a consortium of 22 partners from the EU, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, and empowers students with disabilities in finding a job after graduating from college and gives them the opportunity to do professional internships with employers.
The goal of the project is to improve the quality and relevance of the transfer processizations from education to employment of higher education students with disabilities in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Trans2Work project is designed to: prepare and improve higher education institutions to support students with disabilities in their transition from higher education to the labor market, in accordance with EU standards and policies, connect higher education institutions with disability-friendly work environments, align transition opportunities and skills with EU practice and policies, and prepare employers to better understand the needs of employees with disabilities in order to create and offer appropriate jobs. The main target group of the project is a group of current and future graduates with disabilities and employers from the public and private sectors.
The innovativeness and sustainability of the project is reflected in the following values: the creation of an accessible database whose basic function is to enable searches for graduates with disabilities and employers.
The project involves 22 partners: six partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina: University of Sarajevo, University of East Sarajevo, University of Banja Luka, NGO Humanitarian Organization "Partner", "Profil MC" doo, "PROCOM" doo; seven partners from Serbia: University of Kragujevac, University of Novi Sad, "Metropolitan" University in Belgrade, NGO Association of Students with Disabilities from Serbia, National Employment Service of the Republic of Serbia, Business Association "Unija Čačak 2000", Balkan Distance Education Network "BADEN" Serbia; four from Montenegro: University of Montenegro, University of Donja Gorica, Association of Youth with Disabilities in Montenegro, Employment Agency of Montenegro, and partners: NGO "Gnosi" from Thessaloniki (Greece), University of Maribor, University of Warsaw, DEKRA Akademie Gmbh from the Republic of Germany and University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, which is the project coordinator.
