The campaign: "Independent Living is My Right" was organized by the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla as part of the activities marking the European Day of Independent Living.

The campaign took place in Tuzla on the plateau in front of the "Centar" cinema (near the statues of Meša Selimović and Ismet Mujezinović) on May 4, 2018, starting at 11:00 AM and lasting until 2:00 PM.

The aim of the campaign is to symbolically celebrate and promote the idea of independent living, so that as many citizens as possible can familiar with the ideology and concept of independent living as a link between systems: architectural inaccessibility, insufficient education of persons with disabilities, inability to find employment and achieve employment, which directly affect the violation of human rights and human dignity in achieving independence, as well as life outside the family environment.

European Day for Independent Living is celebrated on May 5th and is an annual event that serves to raise awareness of the right to independent living and the importance of independent living for people with disabilities.
