On November 27, 2017, the 8th workshop for women with disabilities was held at the Dramar Center in Tuzla as part of the project "It's Time for Our Rights." The workshop was led by Dr.sci.ecc. Zumreta Galijašević, attended by 15 participants, and the topic was: "Peer support and participation in the work of organizations."
The participants shared experiences about the importance of mutual support among women with disabilities as equal members of the group, which is what the Peer Support concept is all about. It was emphasized how much mutual support has an impact onand the quality of life, self-development and the work of women with disabilities in organizations. The discussion focused on support among those with similar problems, providing knowledge, emotional, social and practical assistance, and understanding in general, thanks to which the level of self-confidence of women with disabilities is greatly increased, and thus the capacities of the organizations themselves are strengthened.
