As part of the project "Strengthening capacities for independent living in BiH", funded by the Swedish International Development Agency Sida through the Swedish organization for people with disabilities for international cooperation MyRight and the partner organization STIL - Center for Independent Living from Stockholm, On October 7, 2016, at the premises of the Dramar Center in Tuzla, the Information Center for Persons with Disabilities "Lotos" Tuzla implemented the fifth training for young persons with disabilities, as well as a workshop for their parents and family members.
The training for young people with disabilities was attended by 15 participants and the lecturers were Amna Alispahić and Zumreta Galijašević. In a nice atmosphere, the participants had the opportunity to analyze their views on independent living, as well as to discuss examples from practice in group work. The young people also presented their impressions and experiences from the Study Trips to Mostar and Montenegro.
The workshop for parents and family members was attended by 11 participants and the lecturers were Sandra Marković and Amira Salković. In a positive mood, the parents exchanged impressions about the visible results that they discover on a daily basis in terms of greater confidence and less fear when it comes to their children's disabilities. In the group work, the causes of lack of independence were discussed and various problems were analyzed.
